Arrive in Shanghai
Your driver meets you on arrival and transfers you to your hotel in central Shanghai. The rest of the day is free — explore the neighborhood or rest up before the sightseeing begins.
Shanghai past and future
Discover old Shanghai in Yu Garden, a Ming-era garden of pavilions, rockeries and ponds. Walk the Bund's colonial waterfront, ascend a Lujiazui observation deck for panoramic views, and end with an evening cruise on the Huangpu River.
Train to Hangzhou
Take the high-speed train to Hangzhou and cruise West Lake past causeways, pagodas and lotus ponds. Visit Lingyin Temple and Feilai Peak's stone carvings, then taste fresh Longjing tea in a hillside village.
Train to Suzhou
Ride the high-speed train to Suzhou and explore the Humble Administrator's Garden, China's largest classical garden. Stroll Pingjiang Road along its ancient canal, with an optional small-boat cruise in the afternoon.
Tongli water town · return to Shanghai
Visit Tongli, a charming water town of stone bridges and quiet canals, and glide through it on a small wooden boat. Then return to Shanghai for the airport, hotel or railway station.
